By your side anytime, anywhere, in the toughest moments

On August 5, 2025, while vacationing in Vietnam, one of our insured members suddenly lost consciousness due to a severe medical condition and was rushed to the hospital. On-site cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) successfully restored circulation, but by the time he arrived at the hospital, his condition remained extremely critical.

Following the first examinations and interventions, the diagnoses were as follows:

  • Ut drowning
  • Non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI)
  • Ischemic stroke
  • Arterial hypertension

Despite intensive care and advanced treatments, his condition continued to deteriorate. At this stage, the family requested a medical evacuation to their home country. Our team immediately began coordinating the transfer; however, while preparations were still underway, complications arose, and the patient sadly passed away on August 7, 2025.

In the aftermath, the grieving family turned to us for support in repatriating their loved one. With the utmost care and sensitivity, our team managed every detail of the process, including:

  • Obtaining all official documents such as hospital reports and the death certificate
  • Translation and embassy certification of the documents
  • Securing cremation permits and completing legal procedures
  • Carrying out cremation in line with the family’s wishes
  • Ensuring safe repatriation on August 17

This case once again underscored that international assistance services go far beyond medical coordination. They also carry a profound human responsibility. Thanks to the dedication of our team, the family was never left alone in their grief, and the entire process was handled with the utmost care and sensitivity.
